A mindset of confidence and security and posedness makes one more likely to notice minute things, signs there’s other options etc. In comparison, a stressed out mind just will be so goddamn blind to good opportunities and cling to stuff that seems secure but that is not the good choice.
A good comparison imho is when you drive angry or stressed the FUCK out, you’ll do a lot of mistakes, you’ll be even more stressed because you basically confirm to yourself there’s so much more risks of danger, and thus a downwards cycle happens.
A relaxed mindset, attentive, secure, confident, when driving is ideal, because you’re sure you can drive well, you can encourage yourself if you do a mistake, “It happens, I can drive well, just gotta be careful simply”.
I notice this esp when I am doing my work, it requires an insane amount of focus and like, visual acuity and instant reflexes, when I sleep terribly, I perform terribly, I do mistakes, when I go to bed, I have an anxiety crisis over that days mistakes, I sleep terribly, cycle happens again. When I do affirmations, I am basically educating my mindset to not adopt a stressed, primal, desperate stance, thus I perform myself, then I validate my affirmations, then the next day I believe even more my affirmations, I perform better, upwards spiral!
it takes years to develop your craft. do not romanticize the idea of an ‘overnight success’. be a student. grow organically. get really good. hate your work. start over. find new ways to express the same ideas. the student becomes the master. your time will come.
